Comprised of four of New Orleans’ finest musicians, The Walrus pays tribute to the one of the most beloved song catalogues: the music of The Beatles. 60 Years of 63 is a The Walrus' celebration of The Beatles's breakout year, 1963.

Their debut album, Please Please Me, presented the band with its first UK #1 in its title track, along with what are now considered classics like "I Saw Her Standing There," "Love Me Do," and the always thrilling "Twist & Shout." They followed this up with another #1, "From Me To You," before blowing the doors off with "She Loves You," a song that would go on to define this era of their career. Not to mention they then released their second album With The Beatles, and just before the year ended, a little song called "I Want To Hold Your Hand." This concert will focus on material from 1963, all these early Beatles classics and some of the covers they banged out in the Cavern Club before becoming international superstars. And of course, there will also be a good handful of songs from the rest of their storied career.

There are no costumes or fake British accents. For The Walrus, it’s all about showcasing the songs of The Beatles, and the members of the band have the pedigree to pull it off. Jonathan Pretus (The Breton Sound, Cowboy Mouth, Big in the 90’s) and David Pomerleau (Johnny Sketch, The Desert Nudes) share lead vocal duties, while Felix Wolheben (Jenn Howard, Noggin) plays lead guitar, and André Bohren (Johnny Sketch, Rory Danger, The Desert Nudes) plays a hybrid drum and keyboard setup while filling out the vocal harmonies.

The Walrus faithfully brings the songs of The Beatles to life with each performance, putting smiles on the faces of audiences here, there, and everywhere.
