If you love the live, local New Orleans music that graces the Zony Mash stages as much as we do, please join us in supporting Makin’ Groceries with the New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation.
A donation to Makin’ Groceries helps ensure that each week, 100 elderly local musicians and their families receive:
A care package containing health conscious groceries, carefully-selected recipes, and delicious prepared meals
A health and wellbeing check-in with an experienced community health worker
Personal gratitude and admiration for the profound influence they have had on New Orleans culture
Makin’ Groceries is an initiative of the New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation, which has spent the past 23 years solely focusing on providing direct healthcare services and initiatives to local musicians and Mardi Gras Indians, regardless of ability to pay. The program is led and produced by a network of local musicians and community health workers and designed in collaboration with the culture bearers served.
Please make a gift to help honor, appreciate, and protect the creators, preservers, and perpetuators of New Orleans music and culture:
For every $100 we receive, we’re able to provide a single family with a month’s worth of groceries and prepared food deliveries.
