King Cake Hub and Zony Mash will host the first ever King Cake Monarch Pageant which will be part of our Countdown to Carnival Party and held in the tap room at 3940 Thalia Street.  The party will be on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 9pm until midnight when our newly crowned monarch will cut and share the first slices of king cake with all their royal subjects. The pageant will be emceed by our long time friends Prof. Carl Nivale and Grand Marshal Marty Graw and will also feature appearances by several dance krewes including El Lucha Krewe, Sassyracs and Voulez Krewe. 

Zony Mash will be releasing the 2023 King Cake Stout.  We’ll also have Southerns food truck onsite because what goes better with king cake and beer than fried chicken!  Soul Project will be onstage playing Carnival and New Orleans music to help get us all in the mood for that first slice of king cake and all the fun that is Carnival!
