The New Orleans Arts Rag, a local, collectable music + art + poetry paperback publication is celebrating the release of its 3rd edition with a massive party and we would love for you to join us!

Glbl wrmng is a wildly talented, supportive community of New Orleans based hip hop artists. Founded by Nate Cameron Jr and Pell, glbl wrmng is more than a band–it’s a collective of rappers, singers, multi-media artists, instrumentalists, and producers that is bringing an influx of energy, inventiveness, and comraderie to the local scene. Four of its members: Pell, Shaggadelic, Dominic Scott, and Kr3wcial, are featured in this edition of The New Orleans Arts Rag.

WAR BUNNIES is a rock band founded by multi-instrumentalist, singer, journalist and Editor-in-Chief of The New Orleans Arts Rag, Sabrina Stone, and guitar builder, tech, and co-owner of Strange Guitarworks, Aaron Younce. They sound a bit like Queens of the Stoneage, Garbage, and Billie Eilish enjoying a picnic in City Park.

Ghost Orchids is the brainchild of Angela Calonder, sad girl singer-songwriter, who teamed up with two veteran punk rockers backing her on bass (Erich Goodyear) and drums (Brent Houzenga). Their sound would fit nicely on the 90's alternative radio dial, soft and emotional while powerful and hard hitting. Houzenga is the centerfold featured painter in this edition of The New Orleans Arts Rag.

(AZ) Kaleb Summers is a phenom on multiple instruments. At 18-years-old, he’s already an alum of NOCCA, Lake Forest Charter School, Jazz & Heritage Satchmo Jazz Camp, and Roots of Music. He’s taken lessons with many of our local legends and has been sitting in on performances at Preservation Hall since he was 11. AZ is a mix of many genres, influences by jazz, hip hop, country, and R&B. Summers is part of The New Orleans Arts Rag’s inaugural student writers workshop.

Unusual Creatures is a two piece family band consisting of Elijah and Brent Houzenga, a father-son duo. They play a handful of original punk songs, along with a few covers. 8-year-old Elijah has been playing drums for just under a year.
