Conjunto Tierra Linda (2019) is a collective of musicians based in New Orleans committed to highlighting the musical roots of the genre known as Salsa. The conjunto plays fresh arrangements of latin dance repertoire paying homage to the many distinct musical innovations by Afro-Caribbean traditions.

Our basic approach is rooted in the son-montuno tradition from Oriente de Cuba as innovated by the 20th century tresero, Arsenio Rodriguez. However, also woven into our arrangements are elements of a variety of styles including rumba, guaracha, chachacha, bolero and jazz.
